Personalized Edible Paper
Sugar paper sheets (Frosty sheets) and rice paper (Wafer paper) printed with edible ink to personalize cakes, cupcakes and cookies.
The Frosty sheet is made of sugar and starch, it has high flexibility and resistance to temperature changes (hot or cold). It has a slightly sweet vanilla flavor.
The wafer paper is made of potatoe starch. It has little fexibility when compared with sugar paper. It is tasteless and can be used to decorate also savory dishes (like pastries or tapas).
Edible prints are an excellent resource for decorating cupcakes, cakes and cookies in a quickly and stunning way.
To use them simply use a little Royal icing on the cookie, or slightly wet your fondant cakes or cupcakes to "glue" your paper.
- Make sure your photo has a good resolution to avoid pixelitation. First print your image on a sheet of "normal" paper to give you an idea of how it will look.
- If you are not going to use your frosty or wafer immediately, store it in a plastic bag to prevent moisture and color alterations.
- The sugar sheets or wafer paper can be cut with a cutter or scissors.
